So, the Question in 21st century is NOT 'How to be Happy' but 'How to make life Exciting'!!!

We gotto struggle, fight and overcome ... When we are old... We look back into the past...like a history which is worth re-telling for generations...Like my father talks about his father, how big the family was, and how they all worked and struggled together to establish. Or Like how my brother tells stories of how he is coping with his engineering days. No history is ever re-told if there was no tragedy before success or vice versa. Even the most re-told stories on earth, The stories of Ramayan, MahaBharath where it was tragedy before success or even stories like Troy, Hitler, and World wars which ended in tragedy.

Its been 6 months in US and I already have so many stories to tell. I know how busy I was when I was working in Bombay, and I did not return in time or make regular calls to my friends. Now, I am on the other end having so much of free time and I keep waiting, Its like waiting in front of a Microwave counting every second.

OK, after so many broken paragraphs ...which should all come together now. Man seeks happiness, once he reaches the threshold, he wants to do something exciting. And when he sits down to think of his exciting moments, he realizes, it comes only after an era of demotivating struggle. A cheer to all of you who at this very point are in p-a-r-a-3 - RockStars! There is a Apologue we are writing for our future generations.

Potato Tips not so tasty as Potato Chips

Oprah once said - "My idea of heaven is a great big baked potato and someone to share it with."
So much of potatoes everywhere, In chips, In curries, In fries and In Snacks.
Easily it is the Million dollar Business Vegetable !

This Million Dollar Vegetable originated in Peru, South America. So, The Spanish rulers brought them to Europe. From Europe it reached Asia wherever they conquered and established late in 16th century.
So, Imagine, In the times of Ramayan or Mahabharath, It did not exist in India. The same applies to Tomato again brought from South America to Spain..

Potato Sprouts

I got a big bag of potatoes 2 weeks back. So, slowly a few leftovers developed sprouts. Later next day I learnt that they are literally black marked as 'POISONOUS' when sprouts appear!
I was in a common analogy that sprouts are good for health like Moong Dal sprouts...!

I did use one or two sprouted potatoes for vegetable curry. It is definitely not life-altering for sure. But, may be with good antibodies fighting, one can survive one small serving of sprouted potato!

One mistake is that I kept them in a large bowl on the kitchen counter-top open to light and may be little moisture.

Green Tint on the inside

Either one should use them within a week or store them carefully in dark places. Because, keeping them open to light, turns them green. Especially when you cut them open, there is a green tint all over. That is the poisonous part.

So, No Sprouted Potatoes . No Potatoes which have turned greenish inside.If we have a home garden to accommodate these sprouted potatoes, we can plant them there and harvest baby potatoes in 2-3 weeks. :D

Its Chirstmas in US... Time to stuff the stockings :)

US is dead dry and cold... Everything around is dull and pale... But Christmas comes exactly when most needed. The Lights The Bells The Santa The Snow ...The Celebration Begins :)

I will be visiting New Jersey, relatives and family and friends, this weekend for Christmas Holidays... I was super excited that I can get to shop for kids in those families.

First thing I wanted was The Stockings... Its an Amazing feeling even for adults to be gifted with Santa Stockings filled with gifts.

One Option was K-Mart . Look Around for low cost Stocking as this is not a keepsake but just a decorative bag-kind to stuff your gifts.

For Girls There are tons of options. But it took nearly 4 hours to find these at K-Mart ( That's the only shop accessible for me ).

I had to pick a gift for a 3 yr old Girl. Soft Stuffed Good Quality dolls are a good option. There is nothing to worry about limitation or repetition of gifts. As her room can be filled with as many stuffed dolls. But Good Quality, to be underlined. As low quality cheap imitation fur can cause allergy, with the fur hair falling off it might cause choking. Invest in good ones.

Buy it only if you want to be gifted one like that. :) I just fell in love with this Snowman. Super-Cute.Again this was at K-Mart.

I had two little girls aged around 6-7 yrs. That's like the cutest age. I had to choose a sweet color something like sweet pink. One of the girl asked for a Pink BMW. :) I did search for a Pink Car. But did not find one. I went for these little jewelry boxes.

It has this lovely Ballerina doll dancing for a musical as you open it. The 6 year old girls hopefully will love it. And then got silvery colored rhinestone studs and their Initial necklaces to fill this box.

And there is 10 year old boy. The toughest of all. He is smart. He is very Smart. I haven't met him but that's what the survey says 'Kids are smarter'. So, I researched a lot. Finally narrowed down to Gaming CD's or Electronic easy-to-carry & easy-to-use Dictionary. Gaming CD's were a tough choice to make. I don't know what gaming CD's he already has or might like. So, I decided and will be going for Electronic Dictionary. He can use and may be later even his little sister can use. In a way I felt it was a very useful and an accessory to his study table.

It seems like even without Alcohol, we are experiencing all the symptoms of a perfect HANGOVER on this Sunday morning :P (April 3rd 2011, Post World Cup 2011 Win)

Symptom 1 : Decreased sleep n Increased slow wave sleep - Hardly India Slept Yest Night !

Symptom 2 : Headache and Muscle Aches - The tension and the post-win dance ! ;)

Symptom 3 : Sensitivity to Light and Sound - All we hear are the Commentaries and All we see is Star Cricket Live ! :D It takes time for our senses to overcome.

Symptom 4 : Increased pulse and systolic blood pressure - Godd.. All the Initial Tension starting from India-Aus match to India-Pak match and in the Finale esp when Sehwag n Sachin got out! :O

I dont know where to start...the big news is ofcourse 'Estoy comprometida' !

Strange...I dont know why i wanted to begin this in spanish!

Lately, so many things are changing...

One thing I realised is 'No one's life is smooth'. And I was analyzing my story and that of my friends', some part of our lives we all are down, deep down!

In most cases, it was immanent due to the soceity they were raised in and in some it was imminently goofed up by themselves.

I really wanted to give detailed examples, but not so soon, I will think over and try to bring out these stories in the form of allegories.

I am currently studying for my fiance :D Its not funny I know.My fiance will be dejected but its a fact and blogging is all about being candid.

Let me correct it. It started has an unforeseen pressure but now I am enjoying it. Preparing for Entrance Exams...They are sure a good exercise to brain; reviving! Just Y'day I got my TOEFL result...103/120 :)

I need to specially thank a person. His name is Joseph. All those preparing for Toefl speaking section and who have tried to get video lectures on Youtube will know this guy. Betcha even Barney would call him 'Awesome'! :D

Very Precise and he makes it all so easy with the speaking section! And not to forget his Writing section videos...I got 28/30 on writing!

And ya post christmas, i.e on 28th, I have my GRE scheduled. That decides my New Year -2011 Plans! :(

So, Thats where my life is heading to?? Hm...ya USA! Wish me luck!

This is no easy ride, I am sure I will have lots to update as its going to be long eventful journey, Our GRE calls it Odyssey! New Life begins Now :)

The rheum from eyes isn't removed yet...

I walked straight from bed to reach out to laptop...

I wanted to know what Tigers in dreams indicate, if at all,

someone out there has posted on net about strange dreams...

I have been dreaming of Tigers since i was in school.

Around four times so far.

In one case it was spotted in rooms in my house and

my heart stops beating and i turn aphonic!
Somewhere my consious takes over 'Dont shout - just walk away silently'.

Slowly, almost half-dead, I walk back.Its so silent.I can hear nothing.

I walk back.Whole body is numbed, only the mind is alert.

I lock them in the house and run out for help.

or in some cases they have entered the compound walls and

I see one door is open and how i walk towards the door again

with the body-numb;mind-alert. But still i know it can break the door if it smells Human!

So, I grap my mobile and run into a room - Lock its door.

I further run to the attached bathroom - Lock its door and call for help.

Just today morning, My Tigers were around after a long time!

May be my mom's influence as she connects many things to god.

Like, snakes in dreams to Naga Devatha and she asks me to visit a Anthill

and altars of Naga Devatha to offer milk.

I thought its Goddess Chamundeshwari reminding me of visiting her! :O

Something should trigger for few occasional bloggers

like me to Sit down & Write & Edit & Publish...

Its been quite a loong time since i have blogged...

Actually not a word in 2010!

I was bored to write ...rather lazy, no time.

i myself was bored of reading books/blogs...

Now to update my sweet few readers :) who occasionally after

continuos reminders take time to check blog...

I have quit my Job!

"All iz well" at the end...

been to mama's village... and visited few houses

which we go very rarely...distant relatives....grandma's friends etc...

Its here i was told about a incident which happened in that village...it was few months back...in march!

I am sure it will chill you out...

Its really important to let people know such things can happen among any of us...

And how aware we are about our actions....

But really at times, when its a life altering kind of thing, I could not hold but share!

so that we spread how little carelessness can result in such a

terrible incident...

We had a puja at our grandma's place... myself, my mom and my aunt set out to

invite few people inside the village to the puja...

It was a more of a town-like than a village...as it is quite well groomed...

Major income is from weaving silk sarees & Silk clothings....

the whole village comes to a stand-still and super silent,

only when the power is down... And at all times, day and night, one can hear

the tshik-tshik-tshik sound of the silk weaving machines!

We walked to one old house... now its been partitioned into two...

It was one bigg house... where my mom had spent her pre-teen years...

It had that old south indian "Thotti Mane"(still found in many north k'taka n coorg houses)...

So when it rained, there was a opening at the centre and one could enjoy

watching the rain, staying indoor, sipping hot filter coffee...

We were talking to one Ajji(Old lady in kannada)... just then another ajji

walked in...(she was very thin, her face was pale like a patient...)

My mom recalled talking to her about that terrible incident in march...

That old lady was vijayamma...She had a daughter who was working

in a chemical factory... This gal would often bring some useful chemical components

from her factory (may be for low price or free)...

She had brought some petrol-like chemical which could be used for

cleaning/white washing bathroom tiles...

That day in march... It was holi time... I can tel this accurately..

As There was Jathre(Village Fair) on that day...

My mom's village which i am talking about is 'Dommasandra' (Sarjapur,Bangalore)...

they have thier annual Jathre on Holi day...

She as usual finished her usual day to day work... and at the end of it...

went to clean bathroom and take bath....

She had just cleaned the bathroom with that petrol-like chemical solution...

once done...she was preparing for her bath...

This bathroom water flowed down...It flowed through the bathroom pipe

and went out to connect to the main pipe which leads to the village's common drainage flow...

and reached the crossing of that street where there was a opening...

Standing next to that was a man who just lit a cigar and threw the still-lit match stick

and oooosshh...like a hungry snake reaching its prey...

the fire rashly raced through the common drainage to the main house pipe

to the bathroom pipe and came in contact with the gal and the big can of that solution

and there was a blast ! and the gal died...!!

U feel like rewinding and stopping that lit match-stick right?!

Everything just happened as the whole village watched without knowing the fire's source

or destination!

Each and every move of us (Words and action) , we must take care, think twice is all one can say...

Spread this and lets be more responsible towards our action!

Life @ Mumbai - 1

Living in a city which the whole world is now

talking about,after the grand success of SDM,

i cant blame myself for not updating blog!

WeekDays-office...the only thing memorable is
the travel from Thane to Andheri!! Many of us
love to experience things which the world talks
about...one such thing is Mumbai traffic!
And @office...Freshers like us go crazy without
knowing whom should we blame for our current
status?!...we entered the most gifted industry of
all times... the IT!

I called it gifted...having Heard of so many stories...
like how people in IT made money overnight...
now they have already become fairytales which
mostly we wil be reading to our children at bedtime...

we go there...speak about layoffs happening around... everyday there is some or the other bad news... and how safe or insecure we are...and stuffs like that... or may be sometimes when we absolutely have no work... we check out astrology...career prospects!!

And,WeekEnds...its relaxing time... Relaxing in mumbai language is... Watching Movies and Shopping and Sight-seeing!!!
I have always loved watchingmovies in theatre... and it became double in Mumbai... Every weekend-a movie is a must! Shopping fanatics will stroll @ Bandra-Linking road or fashion street or Dadar !! And Sight-seeing @ Taj i.e,Gateway ofIndia, Marine drive,MCC Grounds,juhu beach n a lot more!!

Bottom-line is 'Mumbai is Funn... its filled with immense hope...' And this hope is unmatchable...I had only heard of it... but I realised it after the 26/11 attacks...

One incident i remember...even now it brings me goosebumps...! It was just 28th...still the Taj was not cleared... it was early morning around 8...we were at kurla station... And my father called up and he goes- 'they have found some bombs in trains...dont go to station...dont go!!! ' n here we were @ station to catch a train to office... It was the usual hustle and bustle in the station...I was telling my friends about the news...we were thinking of going back home!

We were all from places where a single diwali bomb doesnt bring us out of houz for a week! and Just then we saw a train coming from CST.., it was fully...fully loaded!!people as usual hanging on the foot-boards!! Thats Mumbai-spirit for you... We then decided not to run away and stepped IN with that Mumbai spirit which makes this city so Rocking!!!

I dont think i will soon get a transfer :p so will keep updating about Life @ Mumbai in parts... Stay Tuned... :)

THINKING

Sometimes the world seems to stop around you...
Often you are lost in a deep thought...
You want to be alone and try to figure out where the
hell are you and what are u upto?!...
This happens to all!
This is when you do a bit of THINKING
There are a few things i wil pen down here which i
have realised in the past two months!
1. If you are destined to be at a place...you wil be
there come what may!
2. And remember one thing whatever happens
is for good!

First of all the surprize came in the form of
Ahmedabad...we all expected our training centres
to be trivendrum and this was quite a shock to
all of us! Ahmedabad is around 1600 kms from
Mysore and that we are crossing two state
borders! but trust me i never expected i would
have so much fun...just so much fun and lot of
memories which i would treasure all my life!
The 2 days train journey,the very first glimpse
of the Infocity Campus,The Studio Apartment
rooms and Yes we finally arrived
@ gandhinagar,The capital city of Gujarat!

Waking up late ,trying to push the so called
IDLI through the food pipe,running to office
counting each and every second before clock
strikes 9 and finally settle down in classrooms
for self-learning sessions which otherwise ended
up making friends.We have chatted up and
teased each other so much... As there were
heartbeats and heartbreaks often going on and
now i better stop here! ;)

And Life went on smoothly until the next
shocking news came! I was posted to MUMBAI...
And this was craziest thing i could ever digest
as i was the only gal from K'taka to get Mumbai
posting!
N now i am here at mumbai...gotta tell you this
is the fastest month i have ever expereinced
in my life...! This one month its been so smooth
but the reason i started off this topic
THINKING is that when you have everything
plain and polished in life...a vacuum is created
within you!... In that vacuum you may prefer
being the way i have described at the beginning
of this post! Just two days back i remembered
my parents and friends at Mysore so much that
i couldnt control but cry!
This is when the THINKING part came up!
It really helps you to discover the real YOU
and the real Life!

I need another long post to sum up all the
THINKING i went through and the Final
outcome of it but for now just letting you
know that...

1.when you are very bored of the life you
are living- it's because you are at the point
where everything is uncertain.
2.when everything is uncertain - do a bit of
THINKING to introspect and try to realise
that you need Patience...you need to wait
for say months orsay years to get
everything certain!
3.Once you realise-you wil be mentally
prepared for that long WAIT and you wil
feel alot better :)

Mysore Dasara Special - Publishing for Diwali ;)

Missed Mysore dasara two successive times... :(

This portion was blogged down 2 years back... but dint take my time out to edit n publish...

just came across this first draft of it in my drafts... with no editing - raw... ;)

Thr s this saying in mysore..."dasara doesnt start in OCT...it starts with the arrival ofthe jamboos to mysore from nagarhole forests"...N ya this year they have already reached!!!

just today evening...was sitting out with my grandpa chatting...n al of a sudden A ELEPHANT passed by my gate! i knew they were on their way...but they were already here!!! :o Then immedietely grabbed my mobile and ran to the gate...one by one the elephants were brought down from trucks...and taken to another field where thier food n stuffs were ready! It was a treat to watch the first step of the dasara preparations in mysore...they stay for 2-3 days and then are given aarathi and sent to palace...where they r gonna be groomed for dasara! Tents for mahouts wil be put up there...Everyday the elephants are taken to city and then to banni mantap grounds(thats the actual procession route) so that they get used to the crowds.n that this year govt has sanctioned 10 crores!!! its again Dasara,a feast which should be savored not on TV's but being right here in Mysore to witness the world famous 'Jamboo savari'!you must get a week's leave to attend dasara...so that u see every inch of the City dressed up:)

Successfully made it to 1st day 1st show!
never expected a hindi movie would release
so soon in mysore(usually there is a week delay)
And that too in three theatres!
the theatre which we had been to was almost
houseful!

Clearly there are only two names which have
pulled the crowd to theatres one is Amir Khan
and the other is A R Rahman!
Just the magical name Amir khan which is year
after year giving THE BEST films is enough
to drive one to theatres!

Tips for those who wanna watch the movie-
Dont have very high expectations
Itz Not like a MUST-WATCH movie!
You can watch the movie if you want to do some
GOOD timepass. Witty Dialogues & Funny
characters all have tried putting up a comedy film!
Though there are some scenes which may seem
really stupid,and boring in the middle ,you will
forgive all this in the climax (the last 15-20 mins is
just hilarious!) and come out of the theatre laughing
and you may also hear comments 'hmm..can
watch once ...' ..'Itz Ok-Ok..Not bad'

'Overall-Go watch it once...n Hav FUNN...
may be when you a have a evening or
weekend looking for some Real good timepass'

Heard that the system crashed when
the no. of hits to the Kukke subramanya
website crossed 17 lakh and odd !
It was during the living legend Sachin
tendulkar's Visit to the holy place
for a puja! Very famous down south
and mostly in karnataka is the Kukke
subramanya temple and close to it is the
Dharmastala temple! Just few days back
I had been to these temples!

Ghat section assures you are uncomfortable;
the Greenery assures a treat for your eyes;
and the Temples assure Divine experience.

On either sides...its green green and green;
Rich vegetation...there are no tall buildings
or industries...just you and the nature !
May be you wil begin humming

Natural bamboo shoots which are there
almost for every 100 mts...make a
picturesque background for photos !
Small kids are found for every 2-3 kms
selling cut jackfruit(picked from forest
region)...& glasses of buttermilk!

The temple is very famous for Anna Danam.
Noon and Night ! Serving average of 10,000
per day! Very Clean...cooked in steam!
last time 2-3 yrs back,I had a chance to
explore the kitchen section where vegetables
were neatly washed and piled...A few ladies
were busy Cutting vegetables required for
the day...and a person also showed us the
new dishwasher...which they say is not of
much use !

The Sri Manjunatha Swamy,the deity in
Dharmastala is the Golden linga....is beyond
words ! Anytime morning or evening...there
is longgg queue... to witness the shininess
of the Golden linga in the dark temple interiors...
The temple interior...near the garbagudi...its dark...
and only Oil lamps are used to lit the area around...
A Divine presence is felt...that Jyothi(Light) is so
beautiful...so very beautiful !!!

All holy places are far and difficult
to reach...But Once we reach...the
presence of the divine energy makes
one speechless !!!

If you get a chance to visit any village festivals
which are held annually called 'Jathre'
(can be simply translated as 'folk Fair')...
Do Not Miss it! Ofcourse Every Corner of this
world there are really unique and interesting
cultures...and what is Life without getting to know
them or see them to experience the difference :)

I had been recently to my grandpa's village...
It was Ramanavami Festival time !
mmm....panakam time :D
Ramanavami fest is celebration of the
birthday of Sri Rama...and this fest comes in
the hot summer season ...April !
To cope up with the heat...the special drink
prepared on this fest is Panakam
(a sweet drink prepared with jaggery and
pepper!) and spicy diluted buttermilk!

Usually in small villages and towns...
Every year they have fest called 'jathre'
which is a annual event ! On this day the whole
village joins hands to celebrate it! The Rich in the
village sponsor for the fest...Its the time when
wandering-vendors tent for three days in the
village(wandering-vendors are who keep traveling
from village to village selling variety of stuffs...
dolls,bangles,toys,etc...)

Something which drew my attention was
Bhagat Singh Yuva Sena! They were a group of
youngsters who were helping with all the
arrangements!
The main attraction of the Jathre is Theru
(as in kannada)...nothing but temple Chariot in
which The idols are taken around the village
for puja!

As i had college the next day i had to return
back early (From bangalore to mysore!)
Had to miss the Night celebrations!
It wil be a dazzling night with many chariots
called 'pallakki' ! they all decorated with
flowers and serial lights each
organised by a family or a group of friends
carrying thier favourite diety :)

And Myself and my bro had plans to
pick some funny stuffs for our friends!
But TIME keeps running as Life is BUSY :(

The Life in villages is so peaceful...
they dont realise it! One should stay in cities
to get a comparison of the burdened life
people are carrying out in cities compared
to villages ! Dont know what to follow...
the Busy-competitive-world or the Silent-beautiful-Villages?!

Alighting 90 Seconds Only

A 65years old couple. They were dressed up so well
in western Outfits…they were just the same way
dressed like any old couple in …say…Titanic movie!
The old man helping out his lady taking her hand,
putting slow steps towards the Entrance of the
Bangalore Airport .Their luggage
(2 black traveling bags) carried by their driver was
all tied with cute red ribbons and it seemed
like they are going on their second honeymoon!

They looked so calm. They were filled with a kind
of pleasant glow something which is derived only
out of a fullfilled Life. A satisfied life .Shaping their
children into Responsible Citizens, A planned Life
devoid of tensions & financial obstructions and most
importantly Good Health.

Sitting back, waiting(for nearly 3 hours) in parking-
lot of the Bangalore Airport. It was quite a good
time-pass watching people arriving at the airport,
halting in front of the entrance to unload their
luggage onto trolley .A board near the entrance
read ‘Alighting 90 seconds only’ .

Some were Bidding long farewell…
really Long…

one notable was a girl, most probably bunking
her college(it was a weekday),to give send off
to her boyfriend. They were loitering around
for almost 2 hours!

There were Two gunmen and a ambassador
car , parked right below the board ‘alighting
90 seconds only’ .Ya,it was a white ambassador
…(who else but our Govt uses it,even in this
Tokyo drift Season!) . A high rank officer
was expected to reach the airport and they had
arrived earlier to take few security measures
for the Officer’s safety .

Then came a really stout man dragging a tiny bag...
It was just the size of a 5kg Atta packet!
(it had a handle & wheels also!) …

Hmm…the Airport was quite clean…

I repeat Quite Clean…
again I repeat ‘Quite’ Clean!

Why not?! It is Bangalore,filled with people
smart as a whip! To be more clear,here is
an example!

A couple came in a car parking right in front
of ours.may be they were a bit fagged Traveling
5 kms for 5 hours(that’s called Directly
proportional!-its bangalore).
Got down to get some cold coffee or juice(I Dunno!) .
They were Back with white plastic glasses.
They got one for their Driver too...
He was all smiles :)

while they sat inside car,having their cold
coffee…This driver standing out leaning to
the car…he seemed to enjoy it too…Cold
Coffee under the summer’s raging sun! and
Then he had to dispose it…he looked around…
and then threw it! Ask me where…?!

Right….Right under a car parked next to him!
Now cal it ‘smart as a whip’!
He could have thrown it under his car too!!!

Just few minutes back…a worker in the airport…
she was mid 40’s…had cleaned the parking lot...
with two brooms in her hand!

N what was I doing in parking lot all this while,
waiting…I was in the Departure area…and I got
a call that I was supposed to be in Arrival site…
yaa …after three long hours!

'Sit down,Sit down,....sit down'

There was chaos now and then in the parliament.
Every NEWS channel covered the LIVE relay
of Finance Minister's speech of BUDGET-2008!

Just like teachers Hit children when they dont
follow the rules of a classroom (nowadays you
dont find this in cities,but i am sure it is stil
followed in some towns n rural areas)...
I felt the Speaker should hold a Big Stick to hit
the members if they are shouting and creating trouble!

Seriously! It was Budget-08 Speech and they
were not letting PC to complete his speech...both ,
the speaker and Mr.chidambaram were trying to
bring the situation under control...
'Sit down,Sit down,there is no point in shouting now'
Others seemed to enjoy interrupting the speech!

I really don’t understand economics ! Not into that Domain !

But One cannot shun away From It!
And who would hold out to NDTV Profit's Nikunj or
Shivnath or Shaili! I couldn’t drop any name :D
They just Rock!

Highlights of Budget-08…
This is what I understood… :D

Last yr you had to pay tax if your salary was
1,10,000 and above…This year tax is exempted
To salaries upto1,50,000…So, 40,000 saved :)
And that was for men…for women…tax exemption
is raised from 1,45,000 to 1,80,000:) :)
Happy farmers as there is gonna be complete
waiver…release from loans :)
Those dreaming of getting into IIT’s in coming years…
There are going to be more seats! Three IITs to be
set up in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan !
This earth is being shared by all. Make place for
them too…they have rights! To protect tigers,
Rs 50 crore for National Tiger Conservation Programme :)
And there was no many schemes for most wanted
Infrastructure development :(

And I cant end this without talking about PC.

Politics ya..there are always controversies. For
youngsters he is always an Inspiration! A Harvard
graduate who has come among the Not-so promising
Ministers (who just shout,all I have seen them
doing is, shouting)to participate in India’s growth!

BON VOYAGE

When someone is travelling Over-seas,We bid 'BON VOYAGE' to them.
We know it or not,We have meant it! 'have a Good trip'!!

We had French classes in our college last year. I was wondering why one should learn French?! Later came to know that ,French speak French n Germans use German n Those from Spain speak Spanish and NO OTHER language is used there !!
And those who work for MNC’c based in Europe, have to know atleast one language-French or German or Spanish!Being European countries ,they don’t seem to use English!

And the other day,I was reading kuldeep nayar’s ‘SCOOP’ something which stuck me was that, After partition, Home minister PANT proposed Hindi as the Official language and English as subsidiary. But NEHRU was not happy with it! He was not Happy with the status given to English. Pant and Nehru had a lot of arguments over it.
People down south were afraid if Hindi was made the official language because getting jobs in central govt would be difficult! Too many complexities for a multicultural-multilingual country like bharat!

Hmm…coming back to BON VOYAGE. I happened to pick greeting cards recently for my dad. Few years back,I enjoyed making my own cards. I used to write all sweet memories shared in a card and present it.

I was against ‘Printed words’. I felt they lacked the Right feel.But now I have to admit. Hallmark & Archies ,the giants in greeting card markets have Great writers. Though In some cases,I was happy with the wordings and in some,the Looks. Not both in One! I had to compromise.
A freind of mine wanted to pick cards and gifts for
her love on valentine's day, she was literally picking every card
which had hearts and roses on them!
I wanted Bon voyage cards,and I picked the one with really good words,Precise !

The greeting read as follows-
This world is full of stress and tension
A small break is like a breath of fresh air
May this journey give you many reasons to feel rejuvenated and happy
May it also fill you with enthusiasm,to take up life again with same zest.

My mom never allows to have pets at home.Be it cats or dogs.
'NO'.she starts quoting from puranas 'One should not have them at home'!
I am afraid she wil have to change her opinion when she is back from tour.
Now she is with relatives taking a break in singapore.
Something which she deserved.'A holiday' after 25 years of home-making.

My house,a quarters actually.By the govt,Of the Govt!
They have given a house with Enough space in the Backyard that one can
actually make a living out of it,Growing all sorts of vegetables and woodlets!
And enough space for Snakes to make a living!
Spot a snake and one can never sleep peacefully that night.
We spotted it around thrice in two years span.Not that frequent actually.
But Still.A snake is a snake!

A lady Just called out from our neighbouring site.
I was actually updating my new Blog :)
I ran to see that there was a whitish-brown Snake lying on the grass!DEAD!!!
The lady told me...A CAT had actually killed it!
Learning that,I was relieved,'Thank You Cat' !!
We have been chasing you from kitchen and rooms...'Shoo shoo'
Shouting and clapping loud,Making you Run for your Life!
'Sorry'...Does this mean anything Typing here on Blog?
Just Letting Others Know that...
